Let's lose this bitch

Driving home after a weekend in LA. Saturday was a lot of sitting and visiting with in-laws. As always I was happy to see them and enjoy their company.

(driving through cow town right now...smells awful)

Had a couple Lagunitas pale ales in celebration of my nieces 7th birthday and many Oreos. But was asleep by 11:30. It was tough falling asleep at first.

Sunday was a whole different story and the reason for our travel...the LA Marathon. My day started early...4am. Getting ready was easy since I had laid out my stuff early on saturday but it was tough to get out of bed. This year I wanted to follow the recommendations and arrive at least 90 before the race. After we picked up my best friend Claudia we arrived at Dodger stadium at 6:15. Good time although I did cut a whole line of cars off (sorry people). First thing was to empty the bladder and then to find a warm enough spot to huddle up. There was a forecast for rain but thankfully it never did.
I had a great time and loved spending all that time (6+ hours) with Claudia. I could even had done more but my family had been waiting for me since 12(?).
After our run all I had on my mind was the Veggie Grill. I wanted to try their buffalo strips and eat a Southwest chik'n burger. Both were awesome.

Next was vegetable soup made my mom. It was awesome and took some to go.

I don't have any plans as to my next official run. I do have some in mind but for now I want to look into finding some answers to my foot problem and I want to run an eight minute mile AND lose these damn 10 lbs.

Exercise goals: bike until the soreness goes away. Will be resuming speed training when it does.

Eating goals: Oatmeal every morning and salad for lunch.

In the near further (I hope) I will be getting a VO2 max test to help me plan my trainings.
