Let's lose this bitch

Driving home after a weekend in LA. Saturday was a lot of sitting and visiting with in-laws. As always I was happy to see them and enjoy their company.

(driving through cow town right now...smells awful)

Had a couple Lagunitas pale ales in celebration of my nieces 7th birthday and many Oreos. But was asleep by 11:30. It was tough falling asleep at first.

Sunday was a whole different story and the reason for our travel...the LA Marathon. My day started early...4am. Getting ready was easy since I had laid out my stuff early on saturday but it was tough to get out of bed. This year I wanted to follow the recommendations and arrive at least 90 before the race. After we picked up my best friend Claudia we arrived at Dodger stadium at 6:15. Good time although I did cut a whole line of cars off (sorry people). First thing was to empty the bladder and then to find a warm enough spot to huddle up. There was a forecast for rain but thankfully it never did.
I had a great time and loved spending all that time (6+ hours) with Claudia. I could even had done more but my family had been waiting for me since 12(?).
After our run all I had on my mind was the Veggie Grill. I wanted to try their buffalo strips and eat a Southwest chik'n burger. Both were awesome.

Next was vegetable soup made my mom. It was awesome and took some to go.

I don't have any plans as to my next official run. I do have some in mind but for now I want to look into finding some answers to my foot problem and I want to run an eight minute mile AND lose these damn 10 lbs.

Exercise goals: bike until the soreness goes away. Will be resuming speed training when it does.

Eating goals: Oatmeal every morning and salad for lunch.

In the near further (I hope) I will be getting a VO2 max test to help me plan my trainings.

I ate way to much today. As I mentioned earlier, work had a BBQ today. The food was not bad at all. They had beans, different kinds of beans and fruit. I was very satisfied. But then came the candy. I ate one large lemon head, a cry baby and a small pack of sour kids. Back at the office I had about 10 pistachios.

So I guess the real calories didn't come until dinner. Pablo fixed an Amy's kitchen cheeseless pizza with Daiya and while we waited for it to cook, I snack on the last of the pita bread with spicy vegenaise mayo. Uh, this is were the calories pulled on. But I just couldn't stop. The dressing is just to good. Also between the both of us, we finished the raw cheesecake. The hubby ate more than me...thank heaven. Tomorrow is another day. I'd like to go to sleep now. Good nite

I woke up hungry!

The usual breakfast awaits...two slices of WW bread with chocolate pb and coffee with soy creamer. I also scraped the pb jar and spread that on a tiny piece on a pita bread. I've had this jar of peanut butter and company's chocolate dream for a year. I'm glad it's taken me that long to finish. It shows I have some restraint...some.
Later today the office is having a BBQ for lunch so let's see what they'll have for me. I predict tortilla chips...

Day two

My breakfast was the usual: two slices of Rudy's Organic WW bread and two tablespoons pb. Soy creamer and coffee. Apple.
Chickpea salad sandwich with tomato and spinach. A plum. Dark chocolate piece ( only bc I was hungry at the end of the day).
For dinner i had some soba salad tofu I bought at whole foods yesterday. I also had a little more of the of the chickpea salad ( I love chickpeas). And a piece of pita. Also to top it all off I ate a few forks of raw cheesecake.

Before dinner: 1000 after dinner 1600. Oh my!

Workout at work. My usual lunch and break walks. -250 burned.
Now I'm on the treadmill for another 400 calorie burn.
